tinctures

hello beautiful babe! let’s talk about one of my FAVORITE wellness support methods! tinctures and teas!

I will give you a gentle reminder that this is not medical advice, this is what i personally do and i’m not saying you should do this. I am not a scientist, pharmacist or doctor. I am a delicious beautiful babe who is just telling you about tinctures for your entertainment.

I have made a little video on how i do this.

i use a plant identification app any time i am picking herbs (er, weeds) just to confirm i am using the correct plant.

  1. i harvest my plants daily because i don’t want to wait until i need something and just hope it’s in season. every day i head out back and harvest what i can.
  2. i let them soak for a bit and make sure they are totally clean before they go on the dehydrator
  3. i dry them overnight, longer if it’s not completely dry
  4. if i am using for a tea, i pack them into a glass jar, label them and go live my best life. i do like to brew them with moon water.
  5. if i am making a tincture, i pack them into a glass jar, label and date them, cover with everclear (yeahhhh, that everclear) and shake them twice a day for a few weeks, maybe a month.
  6. I strain the liquid into small colored glass dropper bottles and store.

some of the plants i keep on rotation are:

dandelion (all parts. the root is my favorite)

wild strawberry and strawberry tops from my garden

white clover

speedwell

purple dead nettle

sage

I love all of these for various health and beauty reasons. of course each plant has entirely different properties and benefits. Some of my favorite benefits are high vitamin content, liver cleanse, anti-inflammatory, hormone support, mucus reduction, joint health, mood, digestive issues, skin conditions, and so so so much more! I LOVE tinctures and teas!
